Monday Mortgages is a UK mortgage brokerage helping people understand their options, find a suitable mortgage and navigate the application process with clear, straightforward advice.

We're a trading style of Monday FG Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.

We help with mortgages across a wide range of circumstances, from buying your first home and moving house to remortgaging, buy-to-let and more specialist situations. We have a particular focus on helping self-employed borrowers and people buying their home through schemes such as Right to Buy.

Our approach is simple: understand your circumstances properly, research the options available to us and explain our recommendation in plain English.

How we're regulated

Monday Mortgages is a trading style of Monday FG Ltd, company number 16912441.

Monday FG Ltd is an Appointed Representative of Connect IFA Ltd, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

You can verify these details on the Financial Services Register.

Being an Appointed Representative means we operate under the regulatory oversight of Connect IFA Ltd for the regulated activities we're authorised to carry out.

Some forms of Business Buy to Let mortgages and Commercial Mortgages to Limited Companies aren't regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, and not every service we provide is covered by FCA regulation.

How we search for mortgages

We have access to mortgage products from a panel of more than 190 lenders.

That includes a broad mix of high-street banks, building societies and specialist lenders, giving us options for straightforward applications as well as circumstances that may need a more specialist approach.

We don't simply look for the lowest advertised interest rate. A mortgage needs to be suitable for your circumstances.

We'll consider factors such as:

  • your income and how it's earned
  • your deposit and loan-to-value
  • your credit history
  • the property you're buying
  • lender affordability calculations
  • individual lender criteria
  • mortgage rates, fees and overall cost

The mortgage we recommend will depend on your circumstances, lender criteria and the products available to us.

How our mortgage advice works

1

We understand your circumstances

We start by finding out what you're looking to achieve and gathering the information needed to understand your finances, property plans and mortgage requirements.

2

We research your options

We assess the lenders and mortgage products available to us against your circumstances and their lending criteria. This can be particularly useful where your application isn't completely straightforward, such as if you're self-employed, have a complex income structure or are buying through Right to Buy.

3

We explain our recommendation

If we recommend a mortgage, we'll explain why we believe it's suitable, what it will cost and the important features or risks you should understand. You can ask questions before deciding whether you'd like to proceed.

4

We handle the application

If you go ahead, we'll prepare and submit your mortgage application and work with the lender as it progresses. We'll keep you informed and help deal with queries or additional document requests along the way.

5

We support you through to completion

Once your mortgage has been approved, we'll continue to support you through the remaining stages until your mortgage completes.

How we're paid

We believe you should understand how we're paid before choosing to proceed.

There is no charge for your initial mortgage quote.

If you decide to proceed with mortgage advice, a fee will normally apply. The precise amount depends on your circumstances and will be confirmed before you choose to proceed.

Our current estimated fees are:

  • £99 at Decision in Principle (DIP) stage
  • £499 at full mortgage application stage

We will also typically receive commission from the lender after your mortgage completes.

This is normally calculated as a percentage of the amount you borrow and can vary between lenders and mortgage products. The commission we receive doesn't change the amount you pay under your mortgage agreement.

We'll explain the fees that apply to your case before you commit to proceeding.

How we produce our mortgage guides and calculators

We want the information on Monday Mortgages to be useful before you ever speak to an adviser.

Our mortgage guides and calculators are created to explain complicated mortgage topics in straightforward language and help you understand the questions you may need to consider.

We review our content for accuracy and update it where relevant when mortgage rules, government schemes, tax rules or other important information changes.

Where appropriate, we use authoritative sources such as the Financial Conduct Authority, GOV.UK, HMRC and recognised credit reference agencies to support the information we publish.

Our website content is general information rather than personalised mortgage advice. A mortgage recommendation can only be made once we've understood your individual circumstances.
